A Note from Sr. Sylwia: I am from Szczecinek, a city in northwest Poland. I first met the Daughters of St. Paul on a retreat when I was fifteen. Several years later, I began a live-in experience in our community in Lublin, Poland to see if this was where God was calling me. After I entered, I came to the United States for my formation (the process of studying to become a Sister). As a graphic designer, I am very drawn to our mission of using words and images to communicate God’s love to all people. God has called me to use my artistic talent to bring people to him. With my first profession in Warsaw, Poland on February 5, I am committing myself, together with Jesus, to proclaim his love with everything that I am. After first profession, I will be stationed in our community in Warsaw, developing our website and virtual bookstore.

A Note from Sr. Emily: I am from Bemus Point, NY, a small town southwest of Buffalo. I first met the Daughters of St. Paul when I was fourteen years old. In my visits with them, I was drawn to the loving, living relationship with Jesus that I could see the Sisters had, evidenced by their overflowing joy. Now I rejoice to be deepening my own relationship of love with Jesus by making my first profession of vows in Boston on January 28. In my preparation for this beautiful day, I have often reflected how this is a total gift of God. I am only responding to the overwhelming love that God has poured into my life, and I thank him for that. After first profession, I will be stationed in one of our thirteen communities in the United States, carrying out our mission of proclaiming God’s love through the media of today.
